New Heights Church of God
Prayer Ministries
Prayer is the key that opens the door...
Matthew 18:19-20 (NIV) "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
Luke 11: 9-10 (NIV) "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
Prayer Partners -- Groups of people who feel called by God to pray for our church, our pastor, and our worship service, continuing the prayer ministry of Heart to Heart that was started in February of 2002.
Church Prayer Partners is a group of people who were willing to commit to praying for our church one day every week for the 2008 year. You may pray any time on your chosen day and as many times as you feel God is leading you to pray. We are striving to have New Heights Church and the upcoming service covered by prayer every day. If you are interested in signing up to pray for our church one day a week, please contact Margie Myers.
Some specific prayer needs of our church are:
-
Current and future ministries of the church / small groups
-
Finances of the church
-
God's vision for our church
-
Search for New Pastor
-
Lay leadership
-
Church families
-
Children, youth, and college age
Intercessory Prayer Team/Personal Prayer Ministry -- This ministry focuses on providing prayer for individual/private needs of the church family. At least one person from this team will pray daily for your prayer request sent to the Intercessory Prayer Team.
Prayer Chain -- Prayer requests for immediate needs can be called in to the church or to Randy and Terri Stevens The request will then be shared by phone to the others on the chain so that the church can intercede for the request before the throne of God. We also have an email prayer chain available to the New Heights family. Contact Margie Myers or the church office for more information about the email prayer chain.
Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. "
Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Prayer Concerns for inclusion in the bulletin can also be called in (412-741-0598) or emailed to the church (NHeightsChurch@aol.com) by Thursday morning of each week.
